Effect of AS on the Body

IN GENERAL, what are the effects of AS on a female body? Not virilizations sides, or muscle growth, etc. I mean systemic changes that can occur while taking an AS.

For example - been taking Anavar for 5-6 weeks. I have slowly increased the dose, started at 5mg and now at 12.5. I have noticed several differences in my body such as oily skin (knew that would be a side), increased body temp, and no period.

As far as the period goes, I had very few PMS-like feelings - water retention, breast tenderness. Never was *bad* before, but there was always a noticeable difference the week before my period. This time, none of that. No bloat, no tenderness, no fatigue. I did have food cravings though - but that is normal for me! Does AS cause this? Even a milder one such as Anavar?

Also, the one that confuses me - since starting Anavar (esp. since I upped to 10mg and more) it seems like my core body temp has increased. I am ALWAYS warm, even when sleeping. I feel like I am several degrees warmer than before. Is this due to the Anavar? Or maybe an increase in muscle mass?

Or am I just a freak? :freak:

Additionally, *what* does Anavar do to a females hormone levels? Does it minimize estrogen production? I've done searches on this, but don't find any info on HOW it works in your body. Can anyone help me learn?

A rise in core body temp is very common and dare I say universal amoungst AAS users.

I am pretty sure that the use of any androgen will cause atrophy of the ovaries if taken for 6 weeks or more. This would shut down much estrogen, progesterone and test production while "on" The best person to ask would be MS.

I am absolutely certain that the #1 side of AAS use in the vast majority is a worsening lipid pofile. The 17aa roids like anavar are the worst here by far. 17aa roids are also somewhat hard on the old liver even taken in small doses for more than 6 weeks.
We BBers are so VISUAL that we forget that the worst sides or bodily changes cannot be seen by the naked eye.
Also many of you are very young and think that a crappy lipid profile is no big deal while young, WRONG! Aterial plaque build up that leeds to heart disease takes years and starts in childhood. Taking 17aa roids for prolonged periods of time is akin to making your genetic profile very inclined towards heart disease.

Food cravings....This can happen with the increased appetite that goes along with androgen use.

Oily skin is an androgenic side and is very very common and dare I say universal.

Obviously I don't like anavar since it is 17aa. The same goes for oral or injectable winny. It is, however, a good choice for the beginner since it is very mild. My wife will never use it again though as her lipid profile really bottomed out while on the stuff.

I think a better choice would be to use oral primo as it is not 17aa, or the fast acting mild injectable nandrolone phenylprop. Injectable primo is good too but it is in a long acting ester so if sides come on then you have to wait the steroid out so to speak.

I used Anavar for about 4 weeks and I just went to my Sports Med. Doc the other day to get my hormone levels, lipids, liver and all that other good stuff checked out. He was concerned because taking 10mg daily for these weeks caused my fat distribution patterns to totally change, I know get fat in my tits, stomach and triceps where I never used to. My legs are still in shape but I feel like crap. I am waiting for the results from the tests but the prediagnosis was that I may be having major estrogen rebounding, possible insulin sensativity and/or metabolic syndrome. I liked Anavar when I was using it but hate the sides I have when I got off that crap. This whole experience turned me natural completely, anything I can't do on my own I don't want to do at all.
Just my experience, wanted to share with you if you are making a decision as whether or not to take it, or continue to take it.
I took Winny tabs before the Anavar, months before and I had no side effects like I did on the Anavar.

I would like to add that this type of response is very rare and in fact I have never heard of it in the 19 years that I have been using roids and training female BBers(12 years).........I am not trying to discredit the testimony above but rather just trying to put it in the proprer perspective.
AAS use is not without risks, unfortunately, and each person racts differently to androgens.
I recommend that everyone that uses roids be followed by an MD.
