Eating out, eating safe

Sometimes it's inevitable that we eat out at restaurants and what not be it business, family occassions, dates or whatever.

Anyway I just thought it would be a good idea to list safe foods for different types of restaurants and eateries here.

What do you guys think?

For example what is good to order at an Indian or Italian? What's Safe at a Pizza Hut (or is it a total no go?)

I'll see if I can get the ball rolling.

If you're in an Indian Restaurant, the chances are most of the food, especially the curries are laden with fat from oil and cream.

However your best bet is to go for something like Tandoori Chicken or Tandoori King Prawns. These are marinated usually in spices, yughurt and a little bit of oil and grilled in an oven, i'm guessing a regular tandoori chicken has about 20g protein, < 5g carbs < 10g fat

If you're not on a keto diet, order a serving of plain basmati rice otherwise just have a salad.

Yup, I will order a steak with NO Tenderizer or salt and a salad.

Pizza joints usually offer a chef salad which can be decent.

Alot of places here are offering chicken/lettuce wraps also.

Chinese can be tricky because its thought to be healthy (kinda) but most dishes are fried. Go for steamed vegetables, white steamed rice and peking duck. The duck might have some fat but its very little and can easily be trimmed off.

foooood

:fro:

I also think that steak and a salad can be a good choice. I really like salt on steak but if you can leave it off the better.

We have a pizza hut where I go to college, the nutritional facts the give out show how much fat it has. The have a salad there that is better but they are never fresh.

Chicken breasts are a good choice when eating out too

chinese is a toughie, you might have to bite the bullet on that one:(

I go for chicken sandwiches whenever im at burger king. no mayo. the broiler- not the breaded chicken. this is alsio a good option when youre too hammered to make food and are really hungry.

Japanese restaurants make great places to go to when going out

Not only can you find healthy menu choices but it's trendy too :D

If you're not watching carbs then Sushi with the rice is great, as is salmon or chicken terriaky (but it will have some sugar)
and noodles in soup are usually ok too

If u're watching carbs then a sashimi platter is a good choice

At a chinese place you can get chicken on a stick its just chicken and onions. Its kind of greasy so I only get it when I'm doing a keto diet. It will not knock you out of ketosis.

Kebabs are great too!
they're everywhere and if u go to a decent (and clean) kebabish or ocakbashi you can usually get a good chicken kebab which will be marinated in spices and bbq'd. They'll probably serve it with white pitta so if u r watching carbs u can skip it but if not :D
