You are missing one important point. You may be able to keep off the fat, and even lose some of it by doing extreme amounts of cardio or other forms of energy expendature. However the damage to your body by all of that processed junk food isn't lessened all that much. You may be burning it off but you're still setting yourself up for a possible diabetic future, high blood pressure, clogged arteries, etc... Staying active helps but it doesn't solve everything. Unless you are one of those lucky breed of people that can eat anything and never seem to have cholestoral problems, or high blood sugar, fat gain, etc.. then this will catch up to you if you continue on this route. And because you've said in the past that you put on weight easily and fight to keep it off I'd have to guess you aren't one of these lucky few.

I love bad foods as well and eat them in moderation, but eating them all the time and just using exercise to stay in shape is a bad path. Don't confuse being healthy and being in shape as they can be entirely different. Once can look average but have an extremely healthy heart, low cholesterol, excellent blood glucose readings, etc.. Or one can be 6% bodyfat at 250 pounds, but be a walking time bomb. Our goal should be both but many of us on this board worry so much about the latter that we forget the former.

well for one all of the fats i get are for the most part unsaturated and non trans fats.

i eat most of the sugary goodies before i workout. i look as food as energy to burn. instead of like most guys that load up on a post workout meal instead.

the kind of cardio i do is intense. there is not a dry spot on my clothes they get soaked.

but i feel so good after too.

600 carbs 130-150fats 50-80 protien. this is a very rough guestimation of what i eat in a day.

and also im not eating "processed" foods like you say. well they are processed but i think by your definition of processed you mean processed fats ect. I get my groceries from whole foods stores and they use no processed fats hydrogenated trans fats

unsaturated eh? Except for the ice cream you mean... right? No one is flaming you man, some people have good genetics for staying trim. I'm a bit lower bf than you and I have to watch my diet 365 days a year to keep it that way (fat kid) but man is it worth it... so find your battle and fight it. You could try to decrease carb intake and compare the rate of change in LBM/BF%...just my .02

wow nc, I remember seeing your pics a couple months ago maybe.... and I must say really good improvements, congratulations!

2 hours of cardio? Fuck that. I'd rather NOT eat the peanut butter and ice cream, so i have an extra 2 hours of the day to live a life and do things with it.

-= nav =-

to each his own.

i love to eat :)

most people spend 1-2 hours of lifting. so im spending just a little more time in the gym then most people. cardio is very invigorating

zero, out of curiousity, I'd like to see an example of your daily itinerary...i.e. a little breakdown of when you train/do cardio/ eat ect...curious because you said you break the cardio up.

yes that is some cool findings on vinager. they get a little more in depth over at avantlabs.com on the vinager.

also nicotene or nicotene gum has nutrient partioning effects.

its really not hard at all to maintain where im at. but i think since i got this far from being a fat ass, i might as well go all the way and go for being ultra shredded. HOPEFULLY I will then be able to live up to my username :) and truly be zero% or close to it. i dont want any pinchable fat

the mistakes i made earlier in this diet was simply not eating enough carbs because i look flat in the pics. i cut calories too low and carbs too low.

Judah Bauer-----ok this morning i had about 12 chocolate chip cookies(they were actually sugar free but good as hell and they didnt have processed fats but it had fat still) i also had 2 glasses of skim milk. about 4 or 5 big gobs of peanutbutter about 3 or 4 big gobs of soy nut butter. and about 12 peanutbutter cookies ( there was alot of sugar in them but no bad fats just good fats) about 5 fig newtons. i ate all this as soon as i woke up before the gym

at night ill probably have a couple chicken breasts. ill try not to eat carbs. or i probably wont eat any protien ill just have a nice salad

when i woke up(after i pigged out on all that food) i went to the gym and did 10 sets of 10 minites on the stairclimber. i did a few sets of weights inbetween sets of stairclimber. then i went to work for about 5 hour day then i jogged for 45 minites then i went to class and called it a day

Damn...Now you have me tempted to just do cardio and eat whatever...

I've been doing quick fix for a few days with Bromo to help with leptin and sweeeeeeeeet jesus, I'll be shredded in a 2 weeks

well eat 90 percent of your food in the morning before workout.

that quick fix diet looking back at it should really only be done for less than a week, because your body will catch on quick. i personally hate the way that diet makes me feel.

but remember im not doing easy cardio. each set of 10 minites on the stairclimber was extremly tuff. i would be fairly soaked after just 2 sets of it, it is very hard. you have to work your way up.

cardio is the ultimate weapon. because the other days i striaght up pigged on on shit all day long for about 3 days straight, i didnt follow my eating guide lines because i ate alot of shit at night. i still did the cardio on these days, and i did gain fat. but on like day 4 i ate like i was supposed to (90 percent of food in the morning before workout) i had lost all that weight gained in one day. ive gotten my self so well conditioned ive been able to increase the intensity on the stairclimber of my cardio and make fat burning that much easier
