dumb girl who needs advice ?

Hi all. I just joined this forum, from what I've read so far, it's great. I need to know first of all who out there takes nitro-tech ? I just bouhg tit, and what to know from real woman what has it done for them, maybe then I'll know what to expect. I want to build muscle on top, but lose some softness on my botom half, while adding muscle to my legs & tightening my butt. I got nitro-tech because I've read it will build muscle while supporting fat loss ? Has anyone experienced fat loss while got bigger muscles on this stuff ? I don't want it to make me gain weight, I want to stay lean, but I want more muscle on my upper body, I have some muscle showing through on my arms, shoulders, & back, but it's not enough, and my arms even though I got some muscle, there so skinny, it looks like I have small rocks under toothpick arms, I defenitely want to add some width to my arms, without adding width to my size 4 waist. I weight train days a week, I train each body part 2 times a week, and my cardio is an exercise bike, or jogging. I try to eat a lot of egg whites, turkey & chicken, but I don't have the time to cook, so I will probably use more often than not, my nitro-tech and compliment it with some carbs for a complete meal, that's what I heard you can do with it ? Any advice ? Also, I am 5'6" tall, 130 lbs, 20% body fat, and I am 37 yrs old, I am naturally thin so I find it hard to build muscle. I take my nitro-tech mix with water after my workout, and I take it before bed. Is this the right way to take it ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated !!!!
PS: I do not go to a gym cannot afford it, so all I have right now are 5 & 8 lb. dumbells and my stationary bike. I know I have to up my weights, but if I lift heavier will I see a difference in the muscle size of my body ? And also, since I am totally new at this, I don't know what amount to lift fot each body part ? di I lift 10 lbs for biceps, 15 lbs for triceps, 20 lbs for shoulders, and so on, I probably sound so dumb, but I need help from people who know. I hae been told I should go out & buy like a 40lb. dumbell weight set. Is this enough ? Or do I need like a 100lb. weight set ? If anyone has seen Oxygen magazine, I am after the look of Amy Fadhali's upper body.

Thanks everyone !!!!

(the enter key is your friend!) ;) lol Welcome!

---Nobody can tell you what amount of weight is good for you. Strength is individual. I have lifted for years and years, but I may be weaker than you - a beginner.

---To build muscle, you should lift weight heavy enough that you are close to failure by about 10 reps.

---Building muscle is a good thing. You will not get bulky, you will not look manly. Testosterone brings those things - not weights. ANd women have 1/10 the amount of testosterone a male has. It is basically impossible to look "too big" from lifting ALONE.

---Diet is first and foremost what will bring results. You want to eat clean. This means that you eat non-processed foods. keep all foods as close to natural as possible. The ingredient list should be VERY short.

---Growing larger, losing bodyfat, gaining muscle, becoming "tighter", getting defined....all this depends on diet. Get your diet in check and you will be well on your way to results.

---Protein powder, such as NitroTech, will help supplement your protein intake. It is not a replacement for food, nor will it be the reason you fail or succeed. Use protein powders 1-2 times a day as an easy way to keep protein intake high, while calories relatively low. When building muscle, it is good to keep protien intake high.

---Getting a body such as Amy Fadhli will likely not happen. Sorry. Unless you have awesome genetics, and are willing to put YEARS into training, and SERIOUS dieting. A fitness model's or competitor's diet is NOT an easy thing. This is not meant to discourage you, or be mean. I simply want you to be realistic. YES, if you want it bad enough, you CAN do it. But realize, it likely won't happen this year, or even next. It is a long long road. Also, don't fool yourself into thinking that girls like her don't take AAS (steroids). They often do.

---Adding muscle while losing fat is VERY VERY hard. Especially without the aid of AAS. It can be done, but neither one will happen fast. It is often better to focus on doing one, then the other.

I don't want to make you think you can't reach your goals - I am NOT trying to discourage you AT ALL. I am very glad you are here getting advice. Elite is the best place for advice and help towards your goals. Since diet is the best place to start - post up a sample day's diet - SPECIFIC as possible. Amounts, size, measurements, weight, perparation, condiments, timing, etc.....This is a great place to start fine tuning. :)

I use nitro-tech once or twice a day (usually between breakfast and lunch and then again in the night a few hrs before bed)...like Daisy said, it's good to use as an easy way to keep the protein coming in. I am also a chocoholic, and the chocolate kind usually fills my chocolate cravings. I like it at night as a shake (blend with water, ice cubes, and a tbsp natural peanut butter)...good treat but does more good than harm for your diet!
