Dream Tan

I personally like using Dream Tan. It is very easy to apply, doesn't make you look like a leper for weeks after the show and it looks very good under the lights. The only drawback is that it a little messy. I got an entry for a competition that is coming up and it says "Absolutely no Dream Tan is to be used." on it. Has anyone else ever been barred from using Dream Tan at a show or was this just an isolated thing?

im gonna have to get me some Dream Tan... i dont think its banned and hope not, it looked great on you man... how long before prejudging did u apply it??

I put it on in the warm up room (about 30 minutes prior to stepping onstage), but I think you can put it on in your hotel, then put your sweats on and touch it up if you need to when you get to the show..

They hardly ever allow it at the shows around my area, but next time I'm going to use it anyways. To me ProTan is an absolute pain in the ass and I just don't have the patience for it come showtime.

I had the same thing happen. I did the Missouri and there was a statement on the registration form saying absolutely no dream tan is to be used or even brought into the building. I haven't ever used it before so I don't know what I'm missing.

If you rub up against anything, it gets everywhere. I'm not sure what it does if you start sweating under the lights (or the pressure..) A friend of mine used Dream Tan, applied the morning of the show (with a good base tan from tanning beds) -- he looked like he'd been rolled in curry on stage during the morning show -- shiny & slick. However he said he sat around in it for about 4 hrs after the morning show, took a shower and looked great at the night show. He didn't say if he touched it up again for the night show but he looked normal (not shiny) under the lights for the night, and he did win the overall too.

Just wondered if anyone has done that & will Dream Tan set enough to provide sufficient tan for the pre-judge & the night show? You are correct about Protan -- serious pain in the butt and takes forever to wash off. But you still need to get that damn tan somehow.
