donating blood on equipoise

I would like to donate blood while on equipoise cause I know how tough the steroid is on my red blood cell count and my iron etc.
I went to donate and they wouldn’t let me do it cause I told them I do steroids. What are my other options for getting rid of blood, do you ever just cut yourself ?

you need to just answer the questions neutrally. you don't tell them you used steroids. there is nothing wrong with your blood if you use steroids, but they are worried about sharing needles and that sort of thing
