Does Proviron cause baldness?

I know Proviron is a derivative of DHT but since it has to pass through the liver a couple of times to do its thing, is it as harsh on the hairline as testosterone?

No baldness from proviron. But it will up your sex drive, and act as an anti-e. Most take it to get a hardlook and keep estrogen levels down. Pretty safe wit very little sides.

YES! Right now I'm shedding more than I've ever shed in my life and all I did was one week of proviron (spring break).

Trax, how much was you taking. My answer was for small dosages run throughout a cycle. I've never had any problems. Also never heard of proviron only cycles.

was using it to get libido up since I just got out of an anavar cycle. Was using 50mg/day, went up to 100mg/day for 3 days, then went back down. As soon as I got back my hair was all over the place. Maybe at 25mg/day, it wouldn't be such a problem.. but that dose does nothing for me.

I love proviron during and after the end of all my cycles , and although i have genetic tendency to baldness, at least for me, i am sure it definetly does NOT cause hail loss. My dosage is always 50mg/day. And i always take finasteride 1mg every day . Proviron for me is an awesome drug. It makes me no more need for arimidex, nolva,orimeten. Horny and ready all the time...!

Allow me to bump this--does Proviron make you bald? And if it does, are the effects worse than that of testosterone? Some people say yes, some say no. I've been all over the other gear boards and I have not found any concrete answers. Anyone have some more practical advice and experience? Thanks.

I asked the same question on a different board and in theory if androgens causes baldness proviron WILL cause hair loss.
Proviron in muscle tissue is deactivated to a much less potent androgen by an enzym (don't remember the name) but these enzymes are only sparingly found in the scalp so therfore the strong androgen effect of proviron will go straight to the hair!
Some people, though, questions if androgens themselves causes hair loss or if estrogen is also a cause.
