Does having inflexible hams make it hard to arch on deads?

i have the tighest hams in the world......no, the universe.

but yeah i have a bit of trouble getting low and trying to keep a good back posture on squats and deadlifts. i find that having awider foot stance allows for you to get lower without rounding your back.

i know EXACTLY what its like to be incapalbe of doing a deadlift because of tight hams.

no matter how much i stretch mine i cant seems to "arch" and get proper form on the dealift.

its a fuckin shame as i would really like to be able to do that exercise properly.

anybody?

Yep, she's talking about me.

I could NOT touch my toes until after about a year of training, and I still tighen up to the point that I can't.

Flexibility is key for me, both for squatting and deadlifting, which I know means stretching, I just have a hard time doing it. It's not fun, it hurts, and I don't care much for it.

I've got a stretching secrets tape that Hannibal loaned me that I have yet to watch, but I know I need to. I know greater flexibility will help both my squat and dead to come up.
