Does anyone collect sports cards?

I used to be a big collector when I was a kid. I quit collecting later in high school as my interests turned to girls and alcohol. I'm 32 now and I've just rediscovered card collecting. Any other card collectors here?

i have rickey hendersons rookie, i got mark mcguires card when he was on the USA team. barry bonds second year. and a few others. havent collected in over ten years.

back in the early 70s I used to collect NFL cards. I am from MN, so when I realized that no one cared that Fran Tarkenton lead the Vikings to 4 consecutive lost SuperBowls, I turned to more practical things like Barbie Dolls.

I used to collect baseball cards when I was very young. I still have over 50 Griffey cards, including all his rookies.

I wonder if those are worth any more now than they used to be? I haven't flipped through a Beckett in over a decade.

i used to collect heavy, then when jordan came back to the wizards i bought a jordan card from every year he played rookie until his last retirement. i imagine its worth quite a bit, and i only paid very little for each. almost everyone is PSA graded in casing.

got lots of baseball cards, lots of complete sets sealed unopened, but havent collected in a while

wow over a grand for griffey rookie? he sloped off quite a bit and has had a decent comeback for being older, i wonder how much my perfect griffeys would be worth if i sold them prior to his annual injuries since joining the reds.

and i agree with u about the whole PSA BGS bullshit, all my graded cards have been bought that way, im not about to pay money for some nerd to grade my cards and then put them in a plastic casing. fuck that

I did when I was younger and rediscovered my interest during my early college years. I still have an eye for valuable cards, purchase them cheap, get them graded and sell them for a hefty price...mostly football.

I was addicted to etopps for a while. Sold off the last of my stuff in early October. I still have some in-hand cards that are real nice looking. Not worth the price though.

What does rookie Henderson go for nowadays?

I have only one year, 1980? That happened to be his rookie year. Not sure how many of his cards I have. I do know I have the entire league... at least once. I have about 12,000 cards from that year. I went overboard.
