What is your diet problem. Here are something to watch out for whether your problem is over eating, not eating enough, not eating the write foods at the write times.

Boredom- You eat when you're bored or do not have anything interesting to do or look forward to. TV is a favorite pass time especially when you are alone at home and bored. When food commercials are running 200 images per hour into our cerebral cortex it is difficult not to be draw towards the refrigerator. If food commercials are a trigger, watch nature shows or commercial-free TV

1.Boredom.... YA we all get down time in life and we sit around with nothing to do right? This is a big one for woman who sit at home all day doing chores or nothing. Watching tv all day and the food adds are coming on every other second. Lets face it food can be a pass time. Food brings pleasure and pleasure kills boredom. Many people think of food as there little pleasures threw out the day.... We are bombarded with adds to make our minds think of this all day long.

If this is a problem for you then take every un healthy snack you have in your house and throw it away... Then make healthy snacks and have them already made and ready to go.. Veggies are perfect for this reason.

2.Restricting yourself from a group of foods. Then messing up and eating them. Then feeling guilty and ashamed so you just say the hell with it and eat like a pig for a few days till you can get it back under control.......

Try setting yourself up a cheat meal once a week. One meal a week where you get to eat what you want to eat. Think of this meal as your reward not as your mistake. Its a set meal once a week on a set day. You planed it and looked forward to it. Its both rewarding and positive. Then when its over its back on track till next week.....

3. Getting down on yourself all day and all week. Or beating yourself up when things are not going fast enough.

surround yourself with positive people who lift you up. Like here on elite fitness. Also remember this is a life stile not a crash diet. Nothing in life you get easy is worth a damn anyway.. Stay focused and get around people who will help you do this.

4. Your old life stile. For how long were you living your old life stile before you made up your mind to make a change?

Well its not going to just leave you that easy then is it. Watch yourself because over a long time you have built up bad habits. Maybe you always eat ice cream at night. Maybe you had a extra cream extra sugar coffee every morning.

Find all these habits and replace them. Studies have shown that replacing a bad habit with a better one is much more easy then just trying to stop all together.

Try cottage cheese at night and maybe a sugar free tea with a lemon in the morning. :D

5 feeling tired. When you are tired you may look to food to help give you energy. When you are tired your stomach starts to growl and look for food as energy...

Keep a good log. Most of the time you will find you get tried around the same times every day. During this time do something to walk yourself up.

Some people find energy sups help a lot but remember to take time off of them. Also sleep is a key factor to getting over this. Not just sleep but good sleep. Find something that works for you and helps you get more sleep and better sleep.

6 Letting the goals in front of you overcome you...... Seeing where you are now in fitness or in life and then looking way to far ahead at where you would like to be......

Keep yourself in the moments of life. Think about right now and what you can do for yourself right now. Take the time to relax and calm down. Breathing can help, meditating about your goal right now and for the rest of the day..... But never allow yourself to get overcome. If 6 months or a year from now seems to far away for you to handle. If going from 300lb to 200lb seems to hard of a task for you right now. Then think about going from that moment to the end of the day doing what you have to do......

Your actions are shaped by your thoughts. If you always think about not being able to do it then you wont. But if you always think about the things you can do and do them every day you will get there.

7. lack of planing. You are still stuck in your old ways, and you can go back to the easy life stile in a moment.. You must plan your new life stile out. Your old life was a routine so it takes no thought and no planing. You must plan plan plan and keep doing what you planned to do till this becomes the routine. over time it will become just as easy to do the things you need to do as it did to live your old life.

8. Not knowing how to cook..... This is huge. Almost no one knows how to cook anymore these days. And if they do they only know how to cook foods that are no good or loaded with unhealthy ingredients..

Pick up a healthy cook book. Ask people who are in the healthy life stile for there recipes. Begin to learn how to cook healthy. You can not rely on pre packed foods. Its just not going to work. You can only eat boiled or backed flavorless chicken for so long. You must must must learn to cook new and exciting dishes. You must give your self verity in life and with your diet. Its not a option you have to.....

Awesome book. It has changed my eating habits big time

Good post Needto. I to think learning to cook is vital to success. It's so easy to eat healthy when you know how to make stuff that tastes good! I used to have that night time ice cream habit. I switched to a milk protein shake. It was an easy switch, taste similar and it's quite beneficial. As someone who quit smoking after 15 years I know how hard it can be to change habits and your idea of replacing them is spot on bro. When I quit smoking I developed a love for chocolate. O.K. so it's not the healthiest thing to sit and eat chocolate but it was better than smoking. Later on I was able to swap the chocolate habit into healthier eating. Sometimes it comes in stages like that and that's how you make big changes in your life. Again, good post bro!
