do you really need an AI with test?

I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day and he never uses an AI with testosterone he doesn’t even know what they are and he’s pretty big and he’s pretty strong.
Do you really think it’s necessary to run an AI with testosterone let’s say I’m going to do 500 milligrams for 12 weeks and I’m six foot tall and I’m 218 pounds.
Should I start using the AI from day 1 or should I just wait until I’m deep into cycle to see if side effects come up?
