this question is directed toward the ladies...i believe they get pissed and have to deal with it all day....my friend thinks they like it...so what is it?

Well, I'm a waitress, and it all depends, but for the most part, it makes me feel uncomfortable, especially if I'm not interested.

I think a real easy way to show that your interested and not make the person feel weird, is to leave a little note with your number AFTER you have left.

Naaa, they don't mind. Just grab them on the ass while they are serving your flapjacks to ya! Of course they mind, unless they are interested...and you can tell if they are interested. Other than that leave them alone and use your manners.

I have had the bussers come up to me before, and tell me that a table told them to tell me that I'm hot or what ever, and that makes me feel totally weird-----and I just try to pretend that I didn't know they said anything, because what am I suppose to say? " hey, the busser just told me you said I was hot, wanna go out?" I mean really, be a little more classy

i think it's an unsaid rule to not hit on a waitress.

they're doing their job being nice to you, and it's hard not to think that they would get hit on all the time.

so why just look and be like everyone else? be nice and be respectful - and then if you see her outside of work one day and you two talk a bit - _then_ test the waters and see if her interests are possibly in you instead of your table and tip.
