Safer than drugs....
A study published the journal Hypertension says a diet high in vegetables, fruit and low-fat dairy products may act as a natural diuretic and could help reduce blood pressure without the use of medication. Previous research found that the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension diet had this effect, but it was unclear how. Now Dr Genjiro Kimura of the Nagoya City University in Japan says the diet promotes salt excretion, which results in increased urine production. The benefits seem to be most noticeable in people sensitive to the blood pressure effects of salt.
