I want to hear some opinions on a dirty bulk. I'm talking like Lee priest off-season diet. If you don't know what he ate Google "Lee priest off-season diet" I want to pack on some size. Anybody ever eaten anything and everything to bulk up? Lets hear some opinions bros!

I've never done it any other way :D I feel like I have to lol. It's really hard for me to bulk. I don't put on fat easily so the extra fat and sugar is great energy. I "munch" a lot ;) and so there's really no food off limits for me.

For bulking you have two options correct... You could either dirty bulk far past your desired weight and then go on a extended cut to get your BF% back in check. Or you could clean bulk.. ensure your not putting on weight too quickly, keep the calories clean rather than eating everything insight, and maintain a reasonable BF%. With a dirty bulk you definitely feel like your doing more since your putting on a significant amount of weight then cutting back down... rather than taking the time to ensure your putting on quality mass. But either option will probably get you to your goal in the same time ( I would think).. I'd go with a clean bulk myself (currently am on one).. Figured Id rather stay athletic looking, healthier, and it would keep me from developing lazy habit (unhealthy meals, lack of cardio/core training...).

I totally agree with using your time more wisely and eating clean, productive calories. Dirty bulking for me is just me being lazy and I can afford to do it as I'm pretty much always how I look now despite what I eat. The extra cals will help energy but nothing will change your need for high protein amounts to build muscle with, and getting enough protein is hard enough as it is without having to share stomach space with Oreos. Dont get confused and think calories over protein. Even though I'm lazy with my diet, it's wiser to eat efficiently. And I agree it does start bad habits. I'd eat clean all day when you can and at night, cram in what you need to meet your goal so you aren't deficient.

I always make sure I get in my daily protein first. I make it my top priority. But I really feel like I need all the extra cals to get bigger. I've never tried it before and want to give it a go. I've always been around 190-200. I want to break that barrier and get into some real weight

Sorry boss, I can tell whatever your doing works for you judging of your avatar pic.. I don't understand how being lazy with the diet is eating efficiently... Currently Im clean bulking and the only thing that I have really added is complex carbs (oats, brown rice, whole wheat pasta).. and have added a little more healthy fat. Personally i put down a really solid sized breakfast, and tone down the portions as the day progresses - feel that it works better for me and I have never struggled meeting my protein needs.

Sorry, you misunderstood. I basically said I do it and can get away with it but it doesn't yield great muscle gains with me, so then turned around and said you're right and its better to do it your way. Do what I say, not what I do basically lol. I totally agree with you. Whatever it is, I have something going for me that keeps me lean so I am not a good example. I sometimes tend to boast about my liberal diet, but to be honest I haven't really progressed as much as I should've over the last couple of years and I attribute it to poor diet... So there ya go :)

haha I did misunderstand but I got you now... yeah bro your looking good and if it aint broke don't fix it!! But I know what you mean... once i started eating to gain and taking in quality calories..thats when i really started to experience some solid gains...for a while I felt like I was a bit stuck.. Glad its bulkin' season though!

I'm done with dirty bulkiing... spend months getting fat and unhealthy then a few more months tryin to get rid of it... It makes no sense to me anymore, from now on I'm not going over 12% on a bulk....

I feel you bro.. I'll let the lower abs fade a little bit, but its just counter productive to go overboard on the fat gain.. Natty you can't gain more than about .5 lbs of muscle (could vary sig. depending on genetics, training, and diet)..At least thats what I heard.. As long as you maintain a reasonable surplus but don't overdo it, I think you'd be golden.
