Diet Soda's when trying to get ultra lean....

Try Diet Rite Cola... it is the only diet soda sweetened with Splenda. It is better than real Coke.

Agreed. Also Hansen's natural has an entire line of diet soda all sweetened with Splenda.

Wasn't drinking diet coke for cutting an old school thing....I remember reading somewhere that they drank liters per day to get rid of the exces water (it was the caffein)

If you're just cutting up for the hell of it diet coke is fine but IMO if you're competing you need to be drinking water......

I likes the sound of that :p

At this point in my precontest diet I'm drinking a few cans of diet pop a day as it helps fill me up, I'll drop it later if I have to

I have been dieting for the past few months and diet coke is the only thing that has kept me sane. I quit drinking so that is all I drink when clubbing and I have put down a lot of diet cokes in one night. Swear it made me more vascular by the end of the night. I think it is because I drank 2.0+ gallons H20 during the day so when changing to diet coke for the night it really pulled the water out. But it was temporary because the next morning/day I was actually retaining water... puffy eyes, cheeks and etc. May have been all the sodium, or kidneys stressed out from the change up.

So having said this, Diet Coke shouldn't be a part of a SERIOUS diet so I've cut it out of my diet and leave it for cheat/clubbing days.

Why exactly is that? If you still get your 2+ gallons of water in daily, why would the diet soda be a bad thing?

just trying to understand......

I have never had any problems incorporating diet soda or beverages in my diet and still getting down to competition bodyfat. Maybe it just affects certain individuals differently. Bro, there is only so much you can cut out of life before you just go utterly insane. If I had to cut out diet beverages totally I think I would go absolutely nutz!!!

By the way Aria has always been a favorite of mine! :licker:
