Diet and strength???

I know I'm going to scarifce muscle when I diet....have been on diet last two weeks with less food, still high protien, and a little higher carbs.

I'm averaging 3500-4000 calories compaired to almost 6000.
At this rate I'm looking at a drop of 1.5 pounds a week.

Protien is still at around 320-400 grams.
Most coming from shakes, whey and the like. (calories...1500) in water.

My question is at what rate will this affect my strength?
STats 270 21% body fat. WOuld like to see 15% this time around in 12 weeks.

i think any effect will be psychological bro. i don't mean that in sarcastic way either man. low carb diets can some serious effects on your mind. but honestly if you work through it i think you'll find that you won't have any loss in strength.
 
Since you say your not sacrificing carbs, you should be fine, little strength loss if any. Thats still a good amount of cals, your not starving yourself, so you wont shrivel up.
 
As long as you have enough carbs you'll be fine. The trick is timing it right. Eat some rice or potatoes 45 minutes before training and a glass of juice (orange or pineapple is good) before you leave for the gym. Afterwards have some juice. Other than that you don't need too many carbs to keep your strength up. Good luck!
 
Thanks guys, I'll be sure to keep you posted. But if I did have to choose right now between strength and leaness I'd pick leaness.
 
It seems that the only thing that your really cutting, calorie wise is fat. Your protien remains high and you stated that your carbs are also elevated. You should remain strong and cut fat as well.
You could even gain strength on this program.:)
 
My calculations are correct then when I stated a 1 1/2 pounds a week? I'm going to do this for two weeks then start clen, t-3....I started clen earlier but it was reaking havoc on my system.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
 
When you start, start with one pill 20micrograms and work your way up as your able to tolerate more. MICROGRAMS not milligrams.:)
