Did something weird doing deads...

Ok...i was doing deadlifts...maxing out.
Felt strong as hell.
No belt or wraps.
Did like 3 or 4 warm up sets.
Hit 495 for 1 no problem.
Then went for 515...when i was in the bottom position sinking my butt into the bar and pulling at the start i felt some pain in my right oblique or rip area...I think it had something to do with a breathing muscle as at the bottom i breathe in hard before i start to lift the weight.

Anyone know what i did? Anyone felt this before.

Ok. I looked at it again and it looks like a little bump has come up where the pain is. Maybe it is inflammation...

Anyone know?
Need replies. I am kinda worried at this point. It hurts when i breathe in hard or lift my arms over my head. I bet pullovers would kill at this point.
 
Sounds like you might have strained/slightly tore a muscle or popped a rib out of place, time will heal both or you could try putting the rib back with a chiropractor-if it's to bad see a doc.
 
Went to the doc saturday.
Told me i tore some of the muscle connected to my costal cartilage which makes up the ends of my lower ribs or cracked the cartilage itself. I am betting on the first. It feels a lot better already.

Just making sure i do a solid warm up. No heavy compound squats or deads just for a bit well maybe some box squats....
