Met this girl from school about a month ago, we both started to really liked each other and we went out on a date. She said she was in this for the long run, and was pretty excited to be dating me. Our second date fell through, not because of time problems, but i think because she didnt like me. Earlier tonight I asked her if she still liked me. I only asked because we hadn't talked much and our plans had fell through. She told me shes starting to like me more as a friend, it was weird because she said when we hung out it was fun, but she didn't see it going in a relationship direction. I don't get it because we only hung out once and went on one date that we both had a lot of fun on. I can't help but feel led on and that the whole relationship was fake. I don't know what to do, she told me the liking me as a friend thing 6 hours ago, I can't sleep and i'm torn. We didn't really talk much about it before she went to bed. What should I do? I'm sad as hell

Why do you feel like she led you on? How long did you feel like she was leading you on or pretending vs. not actually feeling something for you? From your post it sounds like she's been pretty upfront and honest. Sorry you're hurt tho xx

Some advice: Dont ever feel like you are always chasing any one girl without any reciprocation.
 
One date is hardly a relationship or dating. Maybe you came on too strong and she got freaked out. I would take a giant step back and move on. If she does like you, she'll come back around. It sucks to be friend zoned though.

ironically she came on to me, really strong too. got my hopes up and didnt see this coning. she said her feelings were legit

ahhh my friends thought she might have, i talked to her though, she said she did like me and her feelings were genuine. she was very upfront and kinda got the whole relationship moving. she told me she wanted to hang out and though i was attractive etc. she really hyped it up, like we had a good future together for a while. it was all really confusing because she also said she had a lot of fun on our date and it felt right. i was just kinda shocked that she went from feeling that way to liking me as a friend in less than a week. i still find it hard to accept seeing as how our date went so well. also i get attached way too easy, its been a lonely life so i kinda cling on to whatever relationships come my way and tend to ignore red flags and issues i have with the person. its a problem of mine.

Here's my best advice to you....for what it's worth. We live in the world of instant gratification and short attention spans. I bet this girl meant what she said in the moment and then it passed and she just carries on. It seems like there isn't a lot of real old school dating that happens anymore. Think of her as a practice date and you'll find someone else who will actually follow through and be a legit gf. It sucks when it happens but watching the girls that are around my own teenage son, it seems pretty common.

You cant make someone feel something that they don't. It may hurt but its the truth.
Move on with your life and keep her as a friend if thats possible,,,if not cut her loose.
