Deadlifts

free weight, no contest, no machine can compete with a compound free weight movement

They even have a machine for that???? I hardly doubt it can compensate for the whole range of sizes people come in and all the weight people use. No machine no matter how well desined can really beat freeweights or pro's would never would use freeweights.....

Which is more effective or is it a personal preference, barbell deadlifts or a deadlift machine???

A deadlift WHAT?!

There's no way you could simulate the grunts of exertion and clangs of iron with a machine. Stick with freeweights.

Someone came up with a MACHINE for this?

You're kidding...

I'm going to open that widget shop afterall.

glad to see I'm not the only one that hasn't heard of it. How is that possible? Are you thinking of a smith machine sparky?
Either way, everyone's right. BB

My gym has a machine. I assume it replicates deads. Poorly. No one ever uses it, except for the occasional dude shrugging a few plates on it.
