i'm not too strong, but deadlift form is something i pride myself on and others often ask me to help them with their deadlift. The biggest mistake i see is people rounding their back at the end of the lift; your body should lockout simultaneously- legs, hips, back all at the same time. Make sure you squat enough, and steve brought up a good point to keep your arms straight. if you can video yourself, we could probably help you pinpoint exactly what's wrong.
Also, i'm going to respectfully disagree with steve to watch people DL at your gym. Sure, some people definitely have good form, but 99% of people in the gym have shitty deadlift form. I saw 3 people DL today at my gym and every single one of them rounded the shit out of their back. Just be weary of the advice you get at the gym because a lot of it is bullshit![]()

of course.. you follow the regulars and guys who look jacked and not the scrawny 150 pound high school kids.
this is common sense.
yeah most of the time there isn't much correlation between size and deadlift form.
heavy power cleans seemed to make the first part of the deadlift get easier....start doing those!

stand on a short box. like 2-6inch and deadlift from it. So you start in a deficit. You can build up to your current weight and when you take the boxes away your numbers are gonna explode
Just a few thoughts:
A power clean is very slow off the floor and also has a much different technique than the deadlift...very little carry over.
Best things that you can do to increase your deadlift are:
Glute Ham Raises
Box Squats with Bands
Heavy full ROM Abs work
Front Squats
Yea powercleans? come on guys lets get a little more serious around here!
haha, yea i am not a scientist but I DO know that powercleans helped my deadlifts seem "lighter". I should have rephrased that. So with that said, I really did feel like when I picked heavier weight off the floor with the deadlift the weight seemed lighter in my hands than before.
All the other ideas are awesome as well.

I'd like to add pullthroughs to that list. If you can get over the fact it looks like you're having sex with the air
