DC or 5x5

After reading up on DC's routine, I've decided to confront everyone with this question: Which do you prefer (if you've tried both): DC or 5x5 and why?

And if you haven't tried either, then which do you think seems like the better routine for size and strength gains? I'm assumign both give that, but which do you think will produce better results?

And if you've yet to read about either of the routines, then I suggest you go do so now. They're both stickys, currently.

I think this will depend on personal preference.

I follow DC because it makes since. I feel that DC offers intensity, rest, stretching, to facilitate the process of strength and mass building. Each workout lasts 45 minutes.

I know 5x5 works. I don't know DC will work, although several people swear by it.

I guess you'll have to look at what each workout provides and decide exactly what you wnat from them... and which one will complete your goals and comfortability level.

I'd pick DC.

Why the 5x5 works:

Progressive resistance

Why it doesn't work:

Too much volume
Bodyparts trained too infrequently

I wouldn't need to try both to know that the DC training would result in better mass and strength gains.

I tried 5x5 and it worked great. Im currently going into my 3rd week of DC training and I love it so far.

What if you lower the volume and trained bodyparts more frequently.

Day 1

Deadlift
Dips
Shrugs
Curl

Day 2

Squat
Pullups
Flat Bench
Pressdowns

Day 3

Military Press
One Arm DB Row
Skull Crushers
Preacher Curls
Leg Press

All down 3x5 any thoughts on this?

I too love the 5x5. I am in second week of DC. It is diffenately hard and I can feel it. It should take a few more weeks though before I can comment on the results.
