Daisy Girl - Run!!

How was your run today? I know exactly what you mean about that mud feeling!! I had one of those runs today but I logged my 5!! It was due to eating too late last night and going out too early for the run today. Are you still weight training? How is that sweet baby? Don't you love being a Mom? - I sure do!!! - Although right now my daughter is BLASTING music through the computer and dancing with her fireinds in my clean house!! Are you still keeping a log? Thanks for your support!!!

I skipped the run today and did elliptical. Going to run 4-5 miles tomorrow morning though. My body is feeling MUCH better than yesterday! Baby woke up in the middle of the night (ugh) and I could not drag myself out of bed in time to run early. If I don't start running by 6:30-7:00am, it gets H.O.T.

Wight training is very sporatic, bad I know, but I am really trying to run more. I am running a 10K mid-August and training for a December half-marathon. My focus right now is to get my mileage up and long-distance endurance back. Things are going well in that department! :)

I love love love being a mommy. My daughter is the best ... although she is kitting that WONDERFUL toddler stage where she is dramatic about EVERYTHING and EVERYTHING belongs to HER! *sigh* Oh, my poor husband - when she is old enough to blast music and have friends over. He won't be able to handle that, lol.

So glad to hear all is great!! Did you go back to teaching? After I had my daughter I started to run more. I ran after the 3:30am feeding. Now she is 12 and until recently i stayed on that schedule. My weight training had been sporadic as well but at 12 you get your first taste of freedom again - it has its ups and downs!! I do miss her - that is for sure!! Anyway, as far as the half - where is it? that is a great motivator! I am scheduled for one in October and hopefully in November - the October one is in Hartford Ct the November is in Philadelphia. I got dh into running which is new for him as he is strictly a weight training machine! we had a great 5 miler yesterday - nothing funnier than running with a bodybuilder!! He takes his shirt off 5 minutes into the run - absolutely ripped - nice distraction!!! - made for an interesting run - the shoe is on the other foot for once!!! I did sprints today after a chest work out - can't wait to drop 25 pounds and feel good again!!! keep me posted on your running!!!

LOL, my hubby would only run if someone was chasing him. :)

I started running YEARS ago, but fell out of it due to injury (torn hamstring) and interest in weight training/bodybuilding stuff. I came back to it to help motivate me in losing baby weight and to have non-weight-related goals. I get so hung up on numbers, that tracking weight and bodyfat is detrimental to my self-esteem and feelings of self-worth. I am looking to lose about 20 more lbs too .... I know that the more I run, the weight will come right off.

I did sprints yesterday - on the treadmill though. Felt good, ended up doing about 5 miles total. But I did it in the late afternoon, so my early morning run today was tough - body had not recovered yet! I ran about 2.5 miles today - maybe close to 3 mi if you could my walking warm up and cool down. I am a bit worried, I am getting ready to travel to see my parents on Weds, so my running might take a short hiatus. I know they haeva treadmill, so I can do that and I will be doing a lot of walking. Just not sure how the running will go..... Regardless, I will stay active, but maybe not as many runs!

Both the 10k and Half are in Las Vegas. Half is December 2nd. If it goes well, I might start thinking about a full in the early spring. But hubby and I are starting to talk about having another munchkin. If we decide to go for it, we will start trying in prob December or January. So we will see! :)

OMG!! - Count me in for LV!! I would love to run that one!! LV is my daughters favorite place!! Our histories are identical! The running, the weight training, and the counting! I am burnt out on the counting as well -- Each new day would bring a new diet - Atkins, raw, weight watchers, etc...each new diet cause a binge of what I could eat in unlimited amounts - or what I would never eat again! I feel like I am finally breaking that cycle. As you said the running will definately help with the weight loss - when my miles were super high I was very lean. Now that I am 43 I have to weight rain becaue I don't want saggy body parts! Keep up the great work! I am definately looking into that marathon - I will keep you posted!!

The LV full and half are run on the same day - Dec 2nd. The course is flat and fast - only drawback is the WIND. Weather should be cool, but not COLD. Low humidity - great running weather! :)
