Cutting

I'm guessing that I am around 17.5% bodyfat right now. I can't really see my abs, but when I flex them I can make out 6.
Anyway, my high school basketball season starts towards the end of November. I wanna cut down to about 10% so that my vert will increase as this is the year scouts will be looking at me.

My questions are, when should I start cutting, how do I cut, and how much strength will I lose? Currently I'm 17, 6'5", and 225 lbs.

Thanks
Jake

Oh and BTW, I know that I've been asking a lot of questions over the past few weeks, and I'm sorry if I'm being annoying in anyway. But, I really appreciate you guys' advice and I thank everyone that has helped me.

do sprint intervals at least once a week, drink 2 gallons of ice cold water a day, eat small meals every 2 hours, eat mostly meat and veges

sorted :)

Ok, but if i wanna be all cut by the end of november, when should I start. Also, will I lose any strength?

You may lose strength, you may not...depends on how fast you do it and what you eat. I just dropped from 192 to 175-178 without losing any strength.

I agree with CCJ almost entirely.

How long it takes you will largely depend on trial and error. Once you have "cutting" down to a personal science, you can master the loss in about 12 weeks. My first time took me about 5 months.

I'm working from 23% bodyfat.. I know im gonna lose some strength.. but hell, thats what muscle memory and hard work is for to bring it back :)
