cutting vs. bulking

What changes from a clean bulking diet to a cutting diet.

What foods are added/taken away. Id like to see an example of each. i need help.

I wanna clean up my diet but i dont want to completely cut because im trying to build muscle mass not become a twig. I have been told not to cut at all til next summer because i dont have enough mass to worry about that.

I was recently told i was about 20% bodyfat with little muscle mass.
please help get me in the right direction
 
A clean bulk and cutting should have the same foods but differing amounts.. bulking is stupid anyways

yeap pretty much, exept for the steak and fruits i love to eat when bulking

What I mean is I don't understand why some people wanna put on a load of weight only to lose some.. I prefer to have abs and stay lean while slowly putting on quality muscle

As others have said, the only difference between cutting and bulking is the amount of food consumed. In a bulk you are in a caloric surplus where a cut would have you in a defecit. Both diets you should be consuming lots of lean meats, green veggies, and complex carbs. With a cut you might be lowering your carbs and/or fats some to hit your macronutrient it caloric targets, but protein will always be high.

Post up your current diet for any help or critique.
