is it necessary to eat before weigh trainging if you are cutting and train first thing in the morning? wont you burn more fat if done on an empty stomach?
On days that I do my cardio I'll get up early and do it on an empty stomach....but I've found that I just can't pump the iron properly on an empty stomach (cutting or not)....so I usually eat something an hour before I hit the weights...otherwise I just feel like shit and can't lift a damn thing....
you would be better off taking about 20 grams of whey in some water prior to training. Or you could take 20-30 grams of BCAA's before training but that can be costly over time.

I would recommend leaving the flax out of the shake....fat tends to slow the absorption of food...which is probably why you had a heavy feeling in your stomach....
I like to eat something high in protein with moderate carbs (but very little fat) about an hour before I hit the weights.....
If it's in the morning I usually go for 1/3 cup of oats with a scoop of whey powder...does the trick for me - but everyone is different....good luck!
