cutting diets??

You can do a CKD. It works very well according to the people who have used it. I personally don't want to cut out carbs because some of my favorite foods have them, and I'm not trying to get down to a competition BF% or anything, so it's not important to me. If you just want to shed some weight, you can lower your calories below maintenance, and cut carbs out after 5:00 PM (assuming you sleep at 10:00 PM and wake at 6:00 AM).

I went from about 20% (after a sloppy bulk), to about 9%bf doing a ckd for 11wks. Went from 194 to 172. It seemed there was almost no muscle loss. Personally I liked it. Just make sure to do some research, especially about how to add the carbs back in afterward. Add em back in all at once and you'll blow up like a balloon. I added em back slowly, and only gained back 3 lbs water weight.

here is a bad one then, after a week of low carbs I have constant headaches that tylenol wont make go away, I feel tired, dont want to lift,or eat or get out of bed and I feel ill . ckd isnt for everyone, but for the people it works for it works very well

My question is how do you train when on CKD? Do you till lift just as hard and with the same routine? I'm currently on 5x5 and plan to continue it when on CKD, only changing my core exercises a bit. Also what about cardio, does it need to be done on a CKD? How much cardio, and what kind? How do you calculate the calories you burn with lifting and cardio into the calories that your trying to cut?

Worry about your diet. You'll want to lift less intense, maybe drop to 1x5 instead of 5x5. Switch the accessories to 1x8 also. Less volume, you can get out of there quicker. You'll want to, you'll be exhausted. Forget about calculating your calories burned. Do maybe sprints 2x a week.

From what Mr. X and a few others have posted, if you carb-up on Saturday, you don't want to lift heavy after about Wednesday.
There's a greater possibility for it to do more harm than good after that time. Mr. X's article over on massmonsters.com covers it more.
