Cutting - Am I Doing Things Right?

Stats:

Age - 21
Height - 5,10"
Weight - 252lbs
Bodyfat - Around 18-20%
Goals - To get down to around 12-13%

Situation:

I started cutting properly for the first time ever on Monday which was around 3 days ago. The following is what I've been doing so far and was just wondering if what I'm doing sounds about right:

- Reduced my carbs by about half from each meal. For example, if I was taking in around 60g of carbs in a meal before, I'm only taking in around 30g now. To counter the reduction in carbs, I have started to add a load of vegetables to each meal.

- Eliminated carbs completely from my last 2 meals of the day.

- Began a strength training program (5x5) which has me trainig 3x per week, in order to keep as much strength as possible whilst on the cut.

- Started taking a Thermogenic product to increase metabolism.

- Added in SSCV (Steady State Cardiovascular) 3x per week on the mornings of non training days, for around 30 minutes per session. I do this on a Stationary Bike.

- I've started drinking a hell of a lot of water during the day, whenever I can.

- In my protein shakes during the day, I often mix in some Ultra Fine Oats. I was thinking of stopping adding in the oats completely and instead eat a small packet of peanuts instead. What do you think? This would obviously help in reducing the carbs some more & adding in some healthy fats.

These are most of the things I've started doing to start off my cut, and was just wondering if I'm doing things right. I'd rather get off to a correct start than to waste my time, so that I can speed up my fat loss.

Also, providing I do everything right, when do you think changes in my body will start to become noticeable? What should I look out for? I take it the fat around my stomach will be one of the last areas to go. So I'm guessing I'll start to see more separation in my arms, delts etc first?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

I noticed small changes after a month of pretty strict dieting(IE: viens in lower parts of my stomach).

on the scale you will see a change withon the first few days. in the mirror if you stick with it strict and dont cheat id say about 2-3 weeks you will start to see some changes. this was my experiance anyway. what are your cals per day? i would maybe add 1-2 more days of cardio (speeds up the process .. lipoflame is incredable for cardion as well) . lookin good though bro stick with it and you wont be let down .. always ask questions these bros are awesome with helping out .. good luck

I eat all of my carbs for the day in the first part of the day. My evening meals are virtually carb less.

For my post workout shake I have 60g of waxey maize starch and
50g whey isolate protein.

For cardio I havent been doing as much lately cept for pre workout warm up. But when I do, I do 30 mins on the treadmill of fast walk mixed with a little jogging.

Seems to work for me, although I am bit older that you and its not as easy to lose fat anymore. So pretty soon I'm gonna try some pre breakfast cardio for about 30 mins at a time

Right now I'm about 200lbs with about 17% bf
