william lewellyn changed one ph from a 3beta to a 3 alpha, could the same be done to say 4ad,1ad or nordiol.would there be any benefit to this or would it just me not worthwhile?

Yes, I recently filed patent on 4-androstene-3-alpha,17-beta diol in fact, and am hoping to come to market with it. The 3-alpha enzyme has a better distribution in the body than the beta, and is particularly concentrated in skeletal muscle tissue. It should provide not only better conversion, but this will be more localized in the muscles.

The alpha isomers are considerably expensive to manufacture at this time however, and may not be cost effective for the 4-andro and 19-nor hormones. I'm working on it though.

The alpha, beta was found to be 97% as androgenic as test when injected vs. 124% for the beta, beta -- so, it obviously has some potency (I just have the value referenced in another paper, not the original paper, so I do not know if it also tested anabolic activity.

The higher conversion in muscle is interesting, though one must of course wonder about intrinsic activity, which most of us have speculated occurs with regular 4-AD.

so would these alphas have a better oral bioavailability?

also par mentioned the possible intrinsic activities,i was always curious about 1-ad vs 1-test supps,as it seems from some of what i'm reading as far as results ,on some boards is that there really close together in there results

I am still of the belief that more activity comes from conversion to T, and expect the greater 3AHSD enzyme distribution, and local conversion of the alpha, to outweigh the effects of the beta if it is intrinsically a little bit stronger an androgen.

No, I would not expect oral bioavailability to be any better.
