Well I'm gonna start bring in some rope or velcro straps so I can attach 1.25 lb plates onto the olympic bars or dumbells.

5lb jumps can be a tad too much somtimes in certain lifts. Now I can increment by 1.25lbs and not feel that much of a difference.
Right now 2.5lbs is about the limit of weekly increases for me.

Especially dumbells, where the 5lb jumps per dumbell is just too much. Just tie a 1.25lb plate onto the dumbell and voila sustainable progress!

:)

Microplates have worked well for me over the years. They let me get 2-3 reps when before if I added 5 lbs, I could only get 1.

String some washers or nuts togther and your good to go.
Hnag it off the bar or dumbell

Why spend big bucks on fractional plates? ;)
