One of the things that I LURVE about living in England is FASHION.
Even the high street shops have designers/models doing ranges for them
Kate Moss for Top Shop
John Rocha, Jasper Conran +++++ many others for Debenhams (department store), and recently, Robert Cavelli for H and M.
The SUPER cheap shops that are like Walmart (in this case Primark/Prada-mart) are making absolutely gorgeous clothing.
There is always a HUGE fashion/style section in all of the weekend paper supplements as well.
I have also often wondered if this is going on in other countries.............the last time I was in NA, I had to go to health food shops to get organic stuff.
All of the supermarkets (even the discount ones) are doing HUGE organic ranges in the UK, and this has been going on for ages.
It is actually easier NOT to own a car in London, and public transport is 24 hours (although shortly after 1 am it is the night buses).
You can get almost anywhere by train, great way to catch up on your reading.
Canada and the Scandanavian countries are the cleanest I have been to, although the air smells better in remote areas in Canada.
The bike paths in het Nederlands RULE.
You can get proper chocolate EVERYWHERE in Europe, not candy bars which are basically fat and sugar.
Just a few of my favourite things.
