congrats on your sobriety, bino. People always argue with me that weed was not addictive, but my mom was addicted. I have no doubts of that. She would get to be EVIL if she didn't have it every day.

Any drug is addictive, dont know why people would argue its not. Alcohol, painkillers, sleeping pills, uppers, downers, coke, heroin, all drugs and all addictive. Weed is a drug, common sense dictates it is addictive as well. Just because its a dried out leaf doesnt mean its not a drug with addictive properties.
Tell that to upstanding successful people who lose everything to drug addiction. People can have addictive personalities sure. But a person begging on their knees to their crack dealer for a hit when they have blown the rent money and pawned all their possessions does not simply have a personality disorder. Im sure youve also heard of the legendary heroin withdrawals? Yea im sure thats just all in their head

meh, i belive it can vary from person to person how addictive it is.
i was a textbook addict in that i used everyday (multiple times a day) but when i finally made a full bore attempt to quit it was relatively easy...first few days mildly annoyed and diet was off (nut hungry)...but overall not difficult.
snuff tobacco is 100 times more difficult i've made multiple attempts at quitting and never have been successful.
first real attempt at perma quitting weeds, almost 7 months so far and no inkling to breakdown and i'm surrounded by the shit in cheap abundance.
some other boards based about quitting tweeds i've visited, it appears that others struggle a lot more than i did. largely a mental toughness thing i suppose
