Me and my partner tried something new this weekend. we had to hit triceps and we always do close grip bench. Instead of doing the normal way, we stole one of those rubber stretchy bands from the aerobics class. we got the thickest one available and ran the band underneath the bench, hooked it up to the bar and then loaded the bar with plates. Man, let me tell you this was the first time either of us had tried this and it fried my tri's. The one i thing i preach is tempo, slow and controlled. Well having the band on the bar really helped us bring the bar down even slower, probably due to the constant tension.
Of course we got some funny stares from the personal trainers there but I'm sure they were doing that so they could steal that exercise and show it to their clients.
