I have a some questions and seeking advice for doing a clean bulk at the end of summer.
Quick background info about me. 6'3, 248 right now. My entire focus when I started exercising 2 years ago was to lose as much weight as possible, and at the end of last summer i was 230 and my starting weight was 295 but I still was probably around 18% bf. It was a bitch to get to 230, and I'm currently trying to drop back to that weight.
I was thinking to myself, that maybe once I hit 230, it would be smart to start a clean bulk. I personally don't think my body type will allow me to be cut and slender. So I thought that maybe instead, I should focus on packing on as much muscle as I can starting at a 230 weight, and once my muscles are big enough, cut back down and then maybe I won't see the flab that I used to have at 230.
Since for 2 years my diet/exercise were always focused on cutting fat, I don't know how to set up a diet and exercise routine that will allow me to put on pounds of muscle. If you guys could start giving me some tips about what I should eat, how much of it I should be eating, and how to set up exercises so I can increase all my lifts and gain muscle.
Since I've always been trying to cut, the highest bench I ever did was 185, never was able to do even 1 pullup (starting doing negatives and it seems to be helping), and all my other lifts have been equally shitty, but I would love to use the expertise on this forum about diet, exercise, and maybe even supplements to use to gain that muscle I desperately want.
