clap pullups

well, as i said, i tried them today at the very beginning of my workout today. i only warmed up with 3 sets of 3 or so pullups (controlled/moderately slow). i was able to bang out 4 clap pullups (without coming down off the bar). actually, i was able to get my hands together every rep, but only the second rep was i able to make a distinct clapping sound (a bit quiet tho). it's been rainy here, so the humidity is up, and the bar in the gym was a bit slippery than normal (plus this bar has no knurling) making it a bit more difficult. this is definitely not an easy move and i see it becoming a regular part of my routine. :)

I was going to try them this week. I pulled myself up easily, and figured I could do a few, but there was a ton of people around, and I got frightened of falling and looking like an ass. Haha.

I've got poles in my backyard that run horizontally which I use to do pull-ups, so I don't have to worry about looking like an ass. I know where you're coming from though, GL. I feel like an ass if my neighbor watches me run out into my yard in the snow, leap like five feet (so as not to trek in the snow any further) to grasp the bar, and pump out 8-10 pull-ups in below freezing weather, just to complete my back/shoulder routine.

Oh yeah, good shit.
