CKD Results

Hi JJ,

This is only my first week!!! I only lost 2 pounds. :bawling: I am trying to be patient. I thought weighing myself once a week would be okay, because I should be adjusting my weight anyway on Mr. X's worksheet, right?

It can be mentally detrimental to weigh yourself once/week - especially since you'll also be dealing with that feminine hormonal water weight gain every month. Most of this stuff was written with men in mind, who don't have to deal with that kind of stuff. I know when I weigh myself weekly, I get very annoyed during those hormonal weeks when my weight isn't changing. I've found if I monitor my skinfolds and appearance and stay off the scale, I get less frustrated on my diet.

JJ is correct, it was written w/ men in mind, so some female hormonal imbalance should be taken into account.

JJ And Mr. X,

You are right! I will only weigh myself every 2 weeks. I will however adjust my weight on the CKD WS as if I had lost 2 pounds, just to keep everything running smoothly. Thank you both, once again for the AWESOME support.

I might suggest something a little different.

I would suggest that you weigh yourself everyday and log it into fitday. That way to have a solid history that you can compare to when you reach those hormonal weeks.

(Part of my job involves creating baselines and comparing results).

If you carb up on the weekends, then I would suggest you take the Friday morning results as your worksheet weight, as the early week can be somewhat misleading.

Hi All,

Doing great so far!!! I am feeling so good now!! Still a bit tired, but okay! I skipped my carb up at the end of week 2 and I am in day 4 of week 3. I haven't weighed myself. I think I'm gonna weight 2 more weeks before weighing in. HG Penny(whatever is name is) recommened r-ala to me, and it really has helped. I had a piece of French toast on Sunday and nothing happened at all. I was still in Ketosis. Also my cravings have gone down substantially. Feeling really good and just wanted you all to know!!! I'll keep you posted on my progress.
