CKD Carb-Up (HELP!!)

OK guys...I'm in my 1st day of "carb-up." I've had some hi-c orange slices (6), a HUGE bowl of cheerio's and 1/2% milk, some low-fat wheatables (about 10 crackers), and 3 pull and peel twislers. Anyway...I tested for ketones after eating this stuff and got a negative result. While on the low-carb part of the cycle I've been getting "moderate" as my color result. My main questions are:

1) Are you still supposed to be in ketosis after eating carbs during the carb-up day(s)? ...If I get a negative test should I immedately stop doing "carb-up" and switch back to low-cab?

2) Is there any transition you should use when going from low-carb to carp-up or vise versa? ...should you only start back to low carb the morning after a carb-up day...or is it OK to start back to low-carb 1/2 way through a carb-up day (or vise versa)?

As far as the first question, my experience has been that you will not show any ketones in your urine during carb-up. Your body is not really burning fat during that day, so no ketones are being excreted. As for the second question , I can only say that I eat carbs until I feel like I have had enough , than stop. But, I do not include any high fat meals anywhere close to a high carb meal.
