I've lived in Chicago for 12 years. I love this city. Here's what I don't understand. There is no loyalty out there anymore. Recently, people have just been bouncing from any business establishment to another one...always looking for the cheapest deal. Why is there no loyalty? I suppose I can understand this in the restaurant industry. I have been going to my beauty salon for the last 10 years. I love Sarah and Jenny. They know exactly what I need and I appreciate the attention that I get whenever I walk in. Kinda like Cheers, "Where everybody knows your name." My massage therapist recently moved to San Francisco, so I have been one of those spa "bouncers" just looking for discounts and deals to get massages and facials. I stay away from the daily deal sites...they just make NO SENSE. Great discounts...but I have to wait 3 months to get the massage that I paid for today. Stupid. I have recently been using this random website, www.spaciety.com that allows you to book your appointment online immediately. I love it. I don't consider myself a spa "bouncer" at all...I have loyalty. But at least while I'm still searching for a massage therapist and esthetician, I can do some perusing of different Chicago spa deals.
