Certified 5.3% on the bod pod

Well I dieted pretty hard for 10 days before I got another measurement taken on the bod pod. I'll have to wait til monday to scan the print out at work but I had 172.xx lbs of lean mass and 9.xx lbs of fat mass. So I weighed in at 182.xx lbs after cutting water the night before and taking in 85g of carbs yesterday and eating nothing before. We then ate 7,000 calories for lunch to splurge with chocolate milkshakes, 6 layer cakes, appetizers, 2 entrees etc. It was great to eat like that w/ no guilt for one day. Here's some pics taken after the gym and after the 7,000+ calorie lunch.

I give up on posting the pics because the links are getting all screwed up on here. Check my site for pics.

Fucking shredded dude.

Great work.

How do you get away with mostly using shakes when cutting?
I've been reading up on PSMF and Velocity Diet (T-nation) ... apparently it works, it just seems like it shouldnt

Well why shouldn't it? Your body doesn't care how you get protein, carbs and fats as long as you meet your daily goals for your cut. To get 250g+ of protein you'd have to eat a lot of food. But throwing in a few shakes along with your solid meals makes it a lot more convenient and to be honest a lot cheaper. Whey protein is a lot cheaper than buying solid food for the same amount of protein.

i disagree with you on the body not caring where the nutrients come from but you look good. nice work.

Well obviously sugars as your source of carbs will be a bad thing if that's all you did. Not only would you feel hungry quick but you'd spike your insulin like crazy and make yourself even hungrier. But I still believe for a cut if you meet your macros for your daily intake everyday you'll get there. It doesn't matter if you did it with chicken or with whey shakes, with veggies or with sugars however doing one or the other will have one hell of an effect on how you feel all day. Also, there's the vitamins and nutrients aspect you get from eating healthier versus processed foods but I'm not talking about that. For overall fitness you want to eat good, but if you are cutting down I think as long as you meet your food goals for the day you will shred up. It's just not something you want to do all the time. I used to think you had to eat clean the whole time but after talking to some natty pros they said if you meet your numbers you will succeed. The hard part is finding the right numbers so you lose weight at the right pace and can peak at the right time.

Thanks everyone for the praise :) I'll post some wheel pics up sometime but believe me they aren't as impressive as my upperbody. They are strong but genetics for leg growth is something I lack so I'm doing what I can to get em bigger.

i tend to build and hold way more muscle eating rare cooked organic foods vs shakes.
