Wouldn't it be a better idea for everyone if people instead invested in renewable energy or renewable energy mutual funds rather than giving money away to green certs? Think about it, that way instead of giving money away, you are making money but you are achieving the same thing. What is the point of giving money away if you can invest it instead? This isn't a debate on global warming, just on the perceived wastefulness of green certs when compared to personal investments.
