yeah, i vote you tell us where to get it instead of teasing us about it. :) what is it with the teasing lately? first the gonna be cop telling us he busted his EQ after teasing us for an hour.....then the guys with the GH site teasing us as of late....now carao teasing. not very nice. :bawling:

lol. yeah, between over here and musclezine i get so many PM's and emails about just that damn pic! who is it? can you email me full size? matter of fact bouncer made the full size pic of it a thread over at musclezine! :D i figured the guys would appreciate it.....but man i guess i got good taste for pics of hot women or something because i picked a winner for sure. i see you tried to get the better of me with another britney pic! this will not work! lol. although those headshots of her are quite lovely, they cannot compare to a crotch shot of timea! :p
 
From what I just read it has a lot of benefits in a little package. It's high in protein as well as "To have much iron and vitamins, the sandalada acquittal the anemia. It is good for all, specially for the children and the pregnant women."

I'm not teasing. I've put up the link to the carao site a bunch of times. I try not to post it because I don't want to be a "hawker" of somebody's product.

And to answer the first question - my interest in carao came when I saw a huge strength jump after I started using it. I'm now 3 1/2 months past the end of my fina/test/whinny portion of my cycle... and my strength is at an all time high... completely off AAS. My deadlift is now 40 lbs past it's all time PR.

I gave the carao guy a testimonial he could use on his site. This whole weightlifting thing was out of the blue to him. He made the extract because carao has a huge local reputation for making you feel great and curing anemia. (Check out the anemia cattle study on his site)

I've noticed a couple of effects:
1. I'm stronger on all of my lifts
2. My calves look great - and my arms are fuller (carao increases hemoglobin by 130% in cattle... this seems to increase fullness of muscles - looks awesome)
3. I FEEL good... not sure if this is in my head or not... but I bang around the gym feeling like Conan

A couple guys here are using it now. I'm hoping after we have a bigger body of users we can narrow speculation on why it might cause increased strength and lean mass gains adn the other effects.

A doctor friend of mine is taking it to a major research lab on Monday to get an analysis done on the extract. I'll post more info as it comes in.

I emailed him to ask about that. His dad emailed me back that they've added a banner stating the credit card thing is secure. I was trying to get him to get PayPal too. Not sure if they will do that.

Actually - that's the truth. I've been emailing the guy a lot... and he just wrote me two days ago that he is sending me two free bottles of his new batch. :D (If you are broke - PM me your address and I'll send you one free. If you're not broke :doublefi: BUY YOUR OWN!)

It's kind of interesting to write to him too - definitely a very different life than what we lead. Read his site... he's like this organic farmer health nut. He seems pretty poor, but highly ethical... definitely dedicated to living a naturalist existance. He doesn't even have a phone. He has to walk to town and hook his computer onto a pay phone to retrieve his emails. (I feel guilty as shit having him put out the money to pay for postage sending me the stuff.)

He sent me one letter and he was describing working all day in this huge tropical fruit rainforrest that he owns... working all by himself all day with no one else in sight for miles. I have to admit... I sort of envy his life. It sounds freaking beautiful.

They sure sound like nice people, but the page is still not "secure".....the page is the same as it was the other day except for some text that says "Your credit card number is secure on the server." :D

Maybe with the increased exposure they'll upgrade their checkout system....or there's always paypal...or maybe even money-order (not sure how that works in costa-rica though)

BTW sofageorge, I'm broke.....if Mike P.T. doesn't take you up on your offer I will.

Engicream... can you do me a favor and write me an exact description of what is wrong with their site re security. I've been emailing the guy and his dad. They were very concerned about this issue... and his dad sent me a description of why it WAS secure. Since I know NADA about this... it'd be better if I could send them an exact description of what is wrong.

How do they upgrade it?

One of them emailed me that they do take checks.

I pushed them to get PayPal. I wonder if that is going to be their best solution.

I tried PMing you this answer, but it's over the 1000 letter limit so I'll just post it here:

For example, go to these sites:

http://216.219.200.193/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=AFS (click on checkout and you'll see it turns into a secure site.

The thing all these sites have in common are they all start with https: instead of the normal http: if you look in the lower right corner there will be a little lock and key icon too. That lets you know that the site is secure, the site is who it says it is, and that all your info will be encrypted and safe (ideally).

I really don't know how they go about fixing this problem. I only know what to look for in a site when I'm purchasing things by credit card. I looked for it in the costa-rica site and didn't see it. Off the top of my head I guess you could talk to Ulter since he runs an online store....or maybe even George Spellwin. I think you could have a third party provide the security for them....yahoo does this....in fact while I was sitting here I searched and found out that the www.ceri.com site uses yahoo for this service. take a look:

Personally, I think it'd be much less hassle if they just used PayPal.....they walk you through the whole process.

I know this isn't an exact answer, but it should help get them started.....or at least see what people mean when they say that there checkout system is not secure.

I speak spanish bro. In fact I am from there, and I have heard about carao just never heard it used by athletes. You certainly aroused my curiosity so I will pick up a bottle to use for off cycle.

I've been experimenting with this freaky extract. The extract is made from carao fruit pod. The tree is also called CASSIA GRANDE. It's common in Costa Rica, but the pods are not grown as a crop.

Any info you can dig up would be very valuable... specifiaclly anything related to strength training or increase in muscle mass.

Carao has some scientific studies that show it can increase hemoglobin by 130%. There is one translated cattle study I've been able to find. (I also got the info that the same experiement was done as a human study about 20 years ago... but I can't find the study.)

More than that anything you can bring back regarding the anecdotal folklore. It's used in Costa Rica as a vigor tonic and aphrodisiac. There seems to be some anecdotal stories of it being used to increase energy fro hard work days.

Basically... anything you can find out would be helpful.

Also, Fonz, let me know if you want to try a free bottle. The guy is sending me two. I might as well send them on to somebody who can test it out like you.

I got asked that before... sorry... but I'm not sure. I didn't bother keeping track of how long it took. It's kind of strange communicating with the guy. He's obviously very intelligent and well educated... but he literally has to hike to a pay phone with his lap top... or go to an internet cafe... just to exchange emails. Sometimes I write him a letter and don't hear from him for 3 days... other times I can email back and forth with him a couple times in an afternoon. He said he is sending me a couple bottles as freebies... but I don't know if he has already sent them... or is planning on sending them. I'm going to pin him down on his send date when I get it so I can figure out what his turn around time is.

He also sent me this stuff that looked like dog crap on a paper plate... took balls of steel to eat it. It turned out to be some kind of sugar cane syrup taffy. :sick: It was way too sweet to me, but my kid liked it.

LOL i'm pretty sure that is the same thing that I have eaten in the Philipines. I liked it. Haven't eaten it in forever though.

It was actually pretty good... would have stayed that way if I'd only eaten 1 or 2 bites, but my daughter was being hysterical about it... making me laugh while we ate it... so I ate the whole thing with her. Too much sugar for me. I felt woozy.

But from that point, it just looks like it sends him an email, which when he retrieves, will also be insecure. It doesnt look like its doing any real-time transaction processing.

His best bet, and most affordable, is probably to setup a PayPal account. This looks like the best option.

I run an ecommerce company and develop ecom software. If he has any questions, or wants to get setup doing secure real-time transactions, i can be of more help, but it looks like his best option is to go with PayPal, or even a company called ccnow which will make it take secure transactions and accept credit cards on his behalf, but they do charge a 12% fee.

I just got two loooooooooong emails from the guy and his dad, way too much info to post. The carao guy is a freaking computer genius. He's educated himself now about EVERYTHING you guys suggested (and damn fast too!) He wrote me back about how they will make the changes to their site to make everything secure... including secure transmission. He said they should be able to do this pretty quickly...

...and he gave me some really cool info. It will be announced shortly.
 
I don't know about you guys but hearing about this potentially new good supplement is getting me moist. Hahahaha!!! Give me karma if you're getting moist please as well. :p
