Can I remove Karma that was givin to me?

Hello,
Being that I am still fairly new here, I need some help... I have been having an issue with deteras1 from one of my threads where he insulted me husband pretty bad. Anyways, he gave me karma, and it says, your husband is still ugly karma. I want it off of there, gome completely, so I don't have to look at it. Is there anything I can do, or someone else? Thanks!

For the reasons she said, for personal reasons. Our husbands are together in Iraq, and we are starting to make preperations for their homecoming, also being pregnant and spending time with her daughter she is getting overwhelmed and realizing there is not enough time in the day. That's all. She'll be back! :) I really want this karma off of here...

I partially agree with you. The bad karma is, well, I don't think the issue. It's the message associated with it. There is a line to be drawn. Should she have to deal with someone else's deep-rooted insecurites just because she posted her husband's pic in her avatar? I think THAT coupled with the unnecessary SLANDERING is enough to make one stand up.

c'mon now, SLANDERING?! If this woman is an "adult" then this is just out of control. "you husband is ugly". and the fucking site goes nuts. some chick plays damsel in distress and all you people come running to her aid cause big bad deteras typed a fucking message to her on the Internet that is on par with what a 5-year-old says to a girl in the playground that he likes. Jesus Christ. This is why I have such a bad view of women. Grow up. Plain and simple. Or just ignore the goddamn message. Pathetic. I wonder what would happen if the same situation occured but deter did it to a dude. People would flame the dude and tell him to stop being a poonani. BUt of course, as it is in real life, all a woman has to do is play the victim and the world bends over for her. You want equal rights? Then deal with things like an adult.

I don't think the site is going nuts. You are exaggerating. She does have the right, as anyone else, to post what she wants. If something offended her, then I see nothing wrong with her posting about it. That's all.

A) Not going nuts, but there is definitely a trend of mods (and others) getting on people if they "offend" (a subjective term) any female on this board. I get it and it needs to be done AT TIMES but this is overboard. SHe can say whatever she wants, and has that right, but IMO this is sad. It is everyone's first reaction to just try and heal the "wound" that this poor innocent female has (as I see in real life) instead of stepping back and looking at the situation without any emotion (use common sense, which is a concept that will be obsolete very soon) and judge it that way.

B) No, I have a bad view for other reasons as well (thanks to my wonderful choices....). I don't really hate women. I just hate all this poor victim bullshit that I do see in real life all the time. I see women getting ahead of men every day just cause of their gender.

i am not taking sides here but:

1) no it is not "right" for people like deteras to be typing shit making fun of people's spouse or shit like that; however, this is a message board and some people are going to do stupid shit like that.

2) if you are going to type on here and even get through life you have to learn how to have a little bit thicker skin and not let every little thing someone says or does to you get to you. otherwise the world would be full of pittifull losers who couldn't cope with life. no one heard me complaining when deteras and i were having it out on here the first few weeks i was posting and he was calling me a slut just because i was dating bbf and he doesn't like him.

basicly i am saying people just need to grow the fuck up.

All of this has gotten way out of line. All I asked originally was how to remove karma, and most of you had my back, which I totally appreciate. I survived 10 years in the Army, and would still be in but I got out for my husband. I can handle shit talk. But to go to threads that I post on to keep repeating the same shit of your husband is ugly gets really old really quick. Why should someone have the right to be really hurtful and rude? Why can't we all just get along? This is supposed to be adults on here, and some have found it funny to act like children and piss some others off. The original thread was asking for help on how to remove karma. I guess Sublime thought it would be funny to write almost the same thing deteras1 did, I don't find it funny, but I guess that is the immaturity that goes with this site. I don't care, like I said in the original thread that this thread is based on, if someone totally knocks me. Really I don't. But my husband, who is in Iraq, not a member of this site, can't defend himself, and me, being totally protective and proud of him feel the need to remove the bad karma from my screen so I don't have to look at it. And now I have the same stupid name calling karma back on there from Sublime. I am over it now and will probably go somewhere else to get my fitness advice and such to a place where this childlike behavior is rare.
To you all who have my back, thanks, I really appreciate the support. And to the other few of you, you know who you are, please try to grow up, isn't it about time?

A) It's a shame you would leave b/c of of 1 or 2 people who offended you as the helpful, friendly, and somewhat intelligent people here are actually the majority (hint - stay out of C&C, not the forum to get your fitness advice from...).

B) Calling people immature and then making a big deal of someone throwing a second grade level remark at you is sort of conflicting. It is not all about what people say or do to you in this world - it's about how we react as well. I understand your sensitivity about your husband as he is not here with you, but let's get real here - some guy on the net said "Your husband is ugly" and this is causing a huge problem! IMO that is dramatic on your part, not deteras'. But, you have the right to be offended just as he has the right to speak his opinion. Do you really hurt when you look at your karma?! Either way - if you are here for fitness advice, may I suggest you hang out near the women's forums, as the ladies here will provide you with some invaluable info and probably not call your husband ugly. C&C is not for the faint of heart.
