So I'm trying to do some bulking right now. Is under 2000 calories a day bad when I'm in the military working out and lifting everyday eating clean? I'm 5'10" 146 lbs.

bro, seriously, bulking at 2000 calories a day... thats more like a half a day... if your trying to bulk, you would be in the 4000-5000 a day... i dont know much about the army, but i do know that if your going through all your basic training and everything your going to be dropping weight as it is... 2000, you've got to be kidding me?

To determine where you should be on cals for bulking, first you need to figure out your maintenance cals. There are several places online that you can figure out your maintenance. Then you should take in 500-1000 cals above that per day for a caloric surplus. You will gain weight that way ;)

Man o man, i dunno if you can bulk up in the army. I remember doing marine PFT and any pound of muscle you put on your body that doesn't add to efficiency is gonna get burned up right away. Way too much running, and body weight exercises. you can still get pretty cut up with some light lean mass though. in the army im not sure if you guys pft for pull ups? just hitting 20 of those for the 100% score and the push ups should make ya look cut up after that running.
