Calipers

i bought a Fat Track Gold from AF, but the myo tape broke the first time I used it. (altho the manufacturer is replacing it for free) the calipers are pretty sweet tho. digital and keep a log for 3 people. u can also find them on ebay.

They are only as accurate as the user thgouh. There is a lot of room for error with those. I also have the fat track gold also. It uses a 3 site test, at chest stomach and thigh. They are somewhat accurate, Ebay is the place to get it. I bought mine new in package for $11 retails for about $28. I like the digital hand held Omron, it is a little more consistent and accurate. Got mine sealed and new in package for $22.

I have used calipers for years, I never used the electric current resistance scale type. Anybody using those and what are your thoughts on them.

Accuracy/durability/etc?

I have an electric current resistance scale. It tells me a GENERAL ballpark of where I am, but it's not terribly accurate. My bodyfat readings will fluctuate about 6 points. Not sure how to get the best readings from it. Anybody have any thoughts?

I have used two before. I bought one that told the hydration, bodyfat % and weight. The other was just a bodyfat-scale. If you lift weights and have any kind of muscle at all, make sure the scale has an athletic setting. I bought the hydration-bodyfat scale because it said on the box it had one. Well it didn't, and the bodyfat measurements are out of this world. It ussually reads in the 30-40% bodyfat range. After my last cutter, I could start to see my abs, the scale still read. 33.4%. But it makes a great paper weight.
