Got one of those airport luggage carts, took off the basket, loaded it with a couple plates and i push it backwards, on the road Its like power running, on grass its really hard like pushing a tractor through mud. Im still trying to figure out how to work it in with my training, itas not exactly a set/rep type workout, and it works pretty much the whole body, especially legs and hips. Im going to throw it in once a week for a moderate session each time and see how it goes. Anyone here ehave any suggestions or experience in working this into my routine?

hey man i would do it on leg daya

or even the day after leg day

Hmmm, Id almost understand if you said the day before leg day why do you say after? I was thinking if I do legs on sunday for example, Id do the sled on wednesday, as far away from leg day as possible. But Im open to suggestions, why do you say on or after leg day?

i say after leg day because it could be used as AR work...and it won't effect your leg day since you have a week to recover

exatly........... feeder workouts/ AR (Active Recovery) are like resting but doing something to speed up recovery.

think about it. what makes you sore, and tears down your muscle.....the positive or negative????........... the negative, thats why bodybuilders focus on it so much. so the sled pushing is 100% positive motion. it will force blood into your mucles and help your recover faster, increase the shape your body's in, and will help your legs grow stronger.

Interesting, are there any equivalents to that to help with benching and overhead pressing?

yeah....... really the main component on the bench and ohp is your triceps. so you do 100 reps worth of pushdowns with bands. use bands becuase once you reach the lock out position with your tri's..... you just let go, and the bands shoot you back into place, therefor.............. no negative. my wife (trinity73) does 5 sets of 20. i like to do 4 sets of 25. you can do polymetric pushups for then bench press. or maybe hold a handstand against a wall for 1 minutes sets for overhead press.

there is a great sticky at the top of the training page.... curtousy of Spatts and Hannibal with ton's of pictures descriptions.
