Boxing

depedning on one's goal or needs. It really matters on if you want to go up or down in weight class or stay in the same weight class. Olympic lifting is an option, I prefer sprinting and body weight excercises with explosive pressing moves.

Smaller fighters tend not to use weight training where else bigger fighters do. Smarter fighters on the other hand will incorporate weight training somewhere in their program.

Both is optimal. Bodyweight exercises for muscular endurance training, olympic style lifts and plyos for muscular strength/explosiveness. Need both. Perfect example is what they call "complex training", meaning a plyo exercise right after the strength movement. E.g. incline presses followed by clap-pushups/ squats followed by explosive jump squats/ etc. Cant do this year round though, as youll over train.
