Can you guys suggest any good self-healing/empowerment books i could read. I have tried everything i know to get over my last ex, but 4 months later, my feelings are still strong for her and i still can't heal.

I have never been a particularly spiritual person and have never read self-help books, but i am ready to open up and give those a try. I don't want to live like this any longer.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks guys

Damn bro is this the same one that you mentioned before? What happened? Let it all out here man. You've got us if you need. Sorry to hear about the heartache. Time heals all wounds. You just need more time. Was there closure at all?

yes it is bro.......hard for me to let the feelings go unfortunately.....time hasn't seemed to heal that much if at all. I guess a big part of me doesn't want to stop loving her.

I have accepted the fact i won't get her back.......i guess now it's a case of trying to deal with that which is proving the most difficult......i just really miss her i guess. Just when i think i'm making progress, it comes back and hits me in waves.

shit man i feel your pain big time... i was broken up 6 months and not fully over it.. I assume it just takes more time.

You are a good bro man, you'll do better and be even more happy.. just takes time.

Books that help you heal? I think the Chicken Soup for the soul series are good for that. But to heal , I guess you can't count on a book, but rather your friends and families and ultimately your character to get you thru tough times.

sorry to hear dude. just try and occupy your mind and let time heal those wounds. having a drunk chick put her tongue in my ear does wonders for me.....

The Dirt : Motley Crue

For real. It talks about how those guys went through absolute hell, on the brink of death in the public eye, expericing things that would make your life look like disneyland -- and still survive.

Very moving (and entertaining).

I always suggest Auto-Biography books. The mind is better adept at reading stories of actual people one can relate to and understand their personal experiences -- then just long-winded technical explanations of how you can "be all you can be".

Most books on Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT) would do just fine as it is one of the most effective means of therapy.

The degree of success with self-therapy however highly depends upon many factors including genetic and environmental factors too.

Sorry to hear this bro, perhaps looking at the situation holistically via reading " The Art of Happiness" by Dalai Lahma is a good idea too.
