Boiling chicken. Is this a good concept?

I had a meal last night where I boiled a chicken breast. Boiled it, until the internal temperature reached 180 degrees, then I cooked a sweet potato, and some brown rice on the side. It was a very boring meal, but I think that it was pretty good.
You guys think that this is a good option and what can I do to spice up a meal like this?

Yeah that’s a solid meal honestly — lean protein, complex carbs, and some good fiber from the sweet potato. Super clean. But yeah, boiled chicken can get kinda bland real quick.

To spice it up without messing up the nutrition:
  • Season it heavy – garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, chili flakes, curry powder — whatever you like.
  • Use broth instead of water when boiling chicken — gives it way more flavor.
  • Add a sauce or dip – something like Greek yogurt mixed with lemon + herbs, or a bit of hot sauce, mustard, or salsa.
  • Throw in some sautéed onions, peppers, or spinach on the side. Makes the whole plate feel less dry.
  • For the rice, try mixing in lime juice + chopped cilantro, or a dash of soy sauce and sesame oil if you want a different vibe.
Still keeps it healthy but makes it way more enjoyable. Clean food doesn’t have to taste plain.

I like to put some paprika salt and pepper and maybe add some lime to it. Kind of cook it, a more Mexican style.
