Birth Control and Low Sex Drive

I am posting this on behalf of my girlfriend (happens all the time right). We have been dating about 8 months now. When we first began dating the sex was amazing and it was VERY frequent, sometimes 3 times a day. This is when she wasn't on any birth control besides the "pull and pray" method. She went on depo about 5 months ago and it seems her libido has diminished over time and now its the lowest it has ever been in her whole life. She tried the nuvaring for a month before the depo, sex drive was still way up there but it gave her bad migraines. A few years ago she became pregnant while she was taking a birth control pill so she is still very scared of that happening again.

Get her OFF DEPO ASAP that is the worst SHIT to EVER hit the market. I was on it so I know from experience. I am not a fan of any hormonal birth control although there are some lower dosed alternative out there like Yaz she might want to try. Oh and vs pull and pray there are these things called condoms.

My wife just got an IUD put in her. Its pricey. you may be able to get insurance to pay for it, if you have it. But its great. And lasts for 5 years.

Ugh, seconded what QT said. Get her on a low dose med like orthotricyclen-lo.

Yasmin is OK I've had no problems at all.
I know hormonal is supposed to be bad but it works for me, convenient, easy, can stop anytime I want.
Thinking about the copper T but know someone who got preggo on it, so a little wary about trusting it.
