Big or Strong?

This may be an interesting question but I just want to see what you guys are actually going for.

Would you rather be........
A) BIG
B) Stronger but not as BIG

I dont know what the deal is with me. I am not that big but I am strong. For example, I see pictures of some of yalls legs but mine are not as big as yours....yet I do as much weight or more weight. I dont have a problem with not having huge parts. I am just happy with getting stronger.

What about yall? Is it the weight or the measurements that does it for you?

Well I'm after functional mass gains, so for every lb of msucle I put on my legs, my squat and thus my speed and vertical jump has to go up

I dont compete in any sports [except hiking, which isnt really a sport] and i sit at a desk job all day... so for me its all about SIZE!!!!

Strength would be wicked cool though! And i wont resist it :) But, i am trying to become a personal trainer and i think that it is important to "look" like you know what you are doing.

I am speaking of people who basically train for hypertrophy. In my core lifts with BFS the most reps I ever do is 10 and that is on 10-8-6 week. I am not even coming close to hypertrophy. I am in the just plain strength area.

To get better...I'll have to get stronger...which will, in turn, end up with me being bigger.

I may not be as big as many people think that I should be...but still. At 6'2" and 290 pounds...you can only cram so much muscle on my frame. I'm still a fairly large person.

Who says I'm not training for hypertrophy? It's just that I get mine as a by-product - a welcome one at that :)
