Better to train arms once or more a week?

depends on many factors...
but, the majority of the time, i would say once a week directly, b/c they are hit many times indirectly working other muscle groups

Forearms I think can be trained two to three times a week directly. Just expect lift numbers to drop on back day. They recover very quickly, like the calves.

I used to be one of those people who had size everywhere else but their arms, then i trained them EOD and now they're one of my strong points. Now by every other day I am counting days i did chest for triceps and days i did back for biceps. (3 day split 3 on 1 off)

My Tri's usually stay sore for about 3 days after a good workout, so once a week for me, plus the indirect work they get from everything else.

I normally couple back and bi's and on chest days after chest work out it do some close grip bench skull crunchers and pull downs. Then at the end of the wk i have a arm super set day. So i train them 2 times a wk.

I don't have arms together; they are split between bi, tri, and forarms. My workout cycle is 4 days, so everything is hit every four days.

For those who do bench work on different days as arms, yeah, maybe once a week.

Here's my split:
day 1 - chest/tri/forarms/abs
day 2 - delts/legs
day 3 - back/bi/forarms/abs
day 4 - rest

This way there isn't any overlapping. Also, forarms and abs have a faster recovery than other body parts; this takes advantage of this.

I train bis/tris once a wk...only becuase my arms will really get big-- out of proportion w/my shoulders- which dont seem to grow at all--

:bawling:
